5.0 out of 5 stars This is the best martial treatise on Yang style, 3 Jun 2001
By P. Doyle "invincibleyang" (Quebec, Canada) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Sheer ignorance to dismiss this book - if you learn Yang style then you need to read this book.

I would say it would be fairly impenetrable at a beginner level, but as the concepts of rooting and correct movement become clear this book becomes more and more valuable.

Every time I read it I glean something new - of my 40+ books on Yang style this is the one I treasure most

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book!!! Highly recommend., 20 Oct 1998
By A Customer
I've searched through, and read, quite a number of books on tai chi. This compilation of translations is excellent. It is clear, and has the resonance of true classics.

5.0 out of 5 stars The one book for the serious practitioner, 28 Feb 2004
By A Customer
My instructor tells me that this is the only Tai Chi book he owns. For anyone who is serious about learning Tai Chi the book is indispensable. It is not a self-teach book but a reference for the practitioner. A book to go back to again and again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poorly written thinly disguised fiction
It's supposed to demonstrate ways of increasing energy levels, but all it did for me was increase stress levels ! The style was naive and weak. Read more
