Personal Development that worked for me., 20 April 2004
Subject: Your Amazon.co.uk Inquiry From: info@amazon.co.uk Subject: Your Amazon.co.uk Inquiry From: info@amazon.co.uk ***** DON'T buy this book if you hold any of the following beliefs: You can't influence your own feelings and state. You can't imagine, visualise, or have self-talk. Physical symptoms only have physical causes I haven't had a 'core state' experience, therefore it doesn't exist. However.... I originally remember going through Core Transformation on a self development workshop (NLP Practitioner) and thinking: 'yeah, it's 'ok'...,watching other participants going through the process and seeing the deepshift marked by body language as they reached a core state - which was aprivilege to witness. Only recently did I purchase this book and remembered that we only covered the first five steps (of ten) of the process on the course! I ran the full process and was astounded with the results; the extra five steps were essential in my particular instance. I cannot adequately describe mystate of mind in just words alone - no wonder people use words such as'spiritual'! I think this book works best for those people who already have some degree of awareness of their own internal structure of thoughts, feelings and emotions. They will find it easier to follow the instructions given, withmore precision and more consistent results. Having a knowledgeable and understanding partner or coach to help would improve the results still further. On illness, the authors ethically and explicitly state (p. 188): " The Core Transformation process is not a substitute for seeking medical adviceand treatment. If you have a major illness, you will probably want toutilise all the medical resources available to you. We encourage you to seek medical advice..." This started out as a project of personal development strategies by the authors which led them: '...far beyond their original goals...' (p. x), This is an excellent 'how to' book (in the reviewer's opinion) and it's astonishing to realise and discover, that the things we do to protect ourselves are in fact, the very keys to our liberation.

A profoundly effective, simple, and painless technique., 14 Jun 1999
By A Customer
The Core Transformation technique described in this book is extremely effective, simple, and not only painless, but as you experience the Core States, it is actually profoundly pleasurable. When reading this book, do remember that "there ain't no such thing as a free lunch". You need to actually do the exercises in the book. If you try to read it on a purely intellectual level, it will seem too detailed and repetitive. If you have even one experience with just the first part of the process, and you see the way it works, the details and real-life examples that this book provides are a gold-mine. After my first couple uses of this process, steps six through ten seemed superfluous - the results of the first part were so dramatic, that I couldn't imagine any way to improve on it. These later steps are, however, a real added bonus in terms of long-term integration and incorporation of the change process. I don't think I'm that unusual of a person, and I don't understand how this book can have been in print for three years, and not be more popular. I've read dozens of self-help books, and spent hours in both individual and group therapy, but have never made as much significant progress in as short a time as I have in the first three or four times I've used the Core Transformation technique. Some people believe that the cure for cancer has been discovered, but is being hidden, so that researchers can continue to collect billions of dollars in research funds. Could the same thing be happening among psychotherapists ? Has Andreas discovered the cure for neurosis, but it's being suppressed by the professional establishment so that they can continue to collect billions of dollars for therapy ? I don't know why this book has not been acclaimed as the monumental psychological breakthrough that it obviously is, but I do know that it's the best self-help book I've ever read. --------------------------------------------------------------------- I highly recommend this book, and suggest that you get yourself a copy - while you still can !

Excellent and quick results to be used by psychologists, 10 Jun 1999

and self-help as well, although it is deeper and easier when you have a "guide" as a terapist. I am a Master Practitioner on Time Line Therapy in S.Paulo, Brazil, and am using the teachings of this wonderful book to help patients to understand and "clean" unwanted behaviours or thoughts, knowing their role in the unconscious mind. Easy to read, but essentially deep in results and well being when you reach the Wellspring within. It is pure peace feeling ! I fully recommend it.
