5.0 out of 5 stars The greatest hypnosis book. Fact., 1 Nov 2004
By J. D. Aspinall (South West England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The simple step by step approach used in this book is the reason for its greatness. Tranceformations totally demystifies the process of hypnosis and it's application. When reading a "how to" book, people get the "how" to do something - this book also tells you why the techniques work so well. This allows for the reader to recognise that ALL LANGUAGE is hypnotic. It's just a matter of recognising patterns that exist and then using them to fit the situation. This book spells out those patterns - how and why they work, and gives plenty of examples to demonstrate and excercises to practice. After reading this book a few times I started to realise why the price remains high. Also, at the back there is a DERREN BROWN style mind reading trick to practice. A truly awsome book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding - the seminal work in this field, 6 Jun 2002
By Alastair Ross (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I have read this book countless times. Second-hand it seems to command a premium up to ten times the cover price. That alone is a clue to the quality within. But mine ain't for sale - not at a hundred times the cover price.

This book IS a transcription of a seminar given by the authors. It works well because in writing the book they have paid attention to their own teaching and convey their material with skill and consummate art. Here you will learn not only how to emulate Ericksons hypnotic techniques but also to understand how and why they work. This added knowledge helps you learn to frame inductions that are appropriate and relevant to each context, and all the more powerful for being so. As you listen to the story unfold, the picture becomes ever clearer until you feel you knew it all along. Probably you did, and soon you will understand why.

5.0 out of 5 stars Try to stay conscious, 1 Dec 2003
By David Unsworth (Hythe, Kent United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
If you were in any doubt about the power of this book, try to read it and stay wholly conscious. To read Bandler's books is not to analyse them, and the benefit comes in the form of the hundreds of positive suggestions contained within.

This particular book could launch a career. I understand it was the first book Paul McKenna read on hypnosis.

Richard is one of the most powerful and benevolent people. To expose yourself to his words is like bathing in your own potential. Irrespective of where you read it, it will transfix you.
