3.0 out of 5 stars An honest account, 9 Oct 2003
This book is a simple honest account of a young womans experience in war time Britain. Pip Beck was an ordinary english young woman like thousands of others who volantered to serve her country as a WAAF R/T operator in Bomber Command. It describes her life and loves and experiences during the 'finest hour', her exitement of arriving at RAF Waddington, her enthusiasm for aircraft and the sadness she felt for the lost aircrew. A good read which evokes the feelings of the time.
