4.0 out of 5 stars blasted as loony lefty, but is actually a little gem, 9 Feb 2001
Ideal ammo for right wing, Christian hardline insensitive bigots. How can we portray families with 2 gay fathers? It's an outrage - bad apple - preposterous - rant, seethe, indignant getting red in the face, I blame... I blame.. I ..Hey ! Chill! look at this book. Read it and look at the sensitivity with which the subject is dealt. It's a very simple story, but there are large, difficult themes for someone as little as Jenny to cope with. And for that reason, the book is a gem. I think this book must have touched someone somewhere - hopefully a child, ( it is a children's book, after all!) and given them a boost... Blokes live with other blokes, and sometimes they raise children. I think this has every right to be in the Primary school library.
