A thorough approach to Laser sailing and to the equipment. Its best feature is a photo guide to sail setting for all weathers. However the book is of little use either to beginners (it assumes you already have good boat speed) or to practiced sailors - it's more of a middlebrow read. The author deserves respect for his dedication to sailing and this is reflected in his honest style - the best writing is devoted to describing his own mental responses to racing. Worth buying as a gift for its common sense, but it is fairly light in pages and already out of date because Laser techniques are constantly evolving.

This is just an excellent book and has all the information that a laser sailor who wants to be a top one! The three times world champion Glen Bourke shows how a professional sailor should be like!
