The Time out Bar/Pub guide has provided Londoners and visitors with invaluable information over the last four years. Ever wanted to know what delights a night out in swanky Chelsea might hold? Where are the decent pubs in your area? Where can you make an impression on that first date or enjoy a bite to eat, followed by some late night revelry? The Time out guide will answer all these questions and more, via a very useful index, which provides helpful categories for all the bars and pubs listed. The guide takes you through London area by area, detailing the most popular or noteworthy locations. The reviewers are forthright about the mood,decor, clientele and of course the food and drink on offer. Prices are also given, so you'll have a good idea how much your night out will set you back. You will undoubtedly unearth some gems thanks to the guide but don't be surprised if one or two places don't quite live up to their billing. The reviewers do not hide the fact that they visit many of the locations only once and they have to derive an accurate impression based on the actual night they visit. That aside, it is perfectly possible to trawl through some new location with the guide as your companion, and find that it will, by and large, serve you very well. There are literally thousands of pubs in these descriptive listings and at the end of the day it offers good value for money; being roughly the price of two pints of trendy lager!
