5.0 out of 5 stars The Seed and the Sower, 15 Oct 2002
I first read this book when I was 15 and was extremely moved and intrigued as it gave a view of war that I had not ever encountered before. I take from the book that whoever is involved in a war will suffer, both the victor and the defeated. Read this book and see if you agree.

5.0 out of 5 stars A compelling war time story of the effects of betrayal, 6 Jan 2002
The film rightly only showed one part of this magnificent story, as it would have been unable to do justice to the emotion that is present.
Following the life of Jack Celliers, the story shows how one persons actions effect both themselves and others close to them through the whole of their lives.
Although at times it seams a story of little hope I have found on numerious re reads a lot of hope and the importance of friendship both in families and in the people we meet.
