It's all too often that the best books about a subject are not available quite as easily as books that have big-money marketting behind them. This excellent book looks at the culture of the people living around Mt Everest without focussing directly upon the westerners on the mountain itself. Douglas captures the essence of the third world people....possibly because as a Brit, he knows first hand about third world countries.... Anyway, this book is brilliant and if you are an E-for -Everest afficionado, you should read this.
