5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing - Very Comprensive!, 25 Jul 1999
By A Customer
To quote part of the book, this book is not of the attitude "don't do any harm until the docter comes, because in many wilderness setting the docter is not comming." This is not the book for general first aid and first time learners, rather the more advanced outdoor person who would be in situations where medical help is more than a day away. It explanis more advanced treatments, the backgroud anatomy, and how to address the entire patient not just cookbook first aid.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not a first aid guide, but very good, 1 April 2001
By A Customer
If you want a first aid book, this isn't it. Rather, it's about how to look after someone when away from help. It is comprehensive, though perhaps a bit technical, and there is the question of whether someone could really do some of the things in the book having just read about them. Still, it covers what it sets out to in excellent detail.
