This book is a terrific portable workshop -- a real bargain! The exercises at the end of each chapter seemed simple, but are very effective in breaking up writer's block. I also enjoyed the author's sharing of her own experiences, both successes and failures.

I think this book is great! I haven't written in years but have always felt drawn to and decided to get "back in the groove". I took out some books from the library to help me to get back on track. I'm buying this one because of the author's common sense, honest style and inspiration. I would like to meet her in person, she seems like an interesting and fun person.
