This book is very heavily weighted towards the American end of the market. If you are a UK writer, please note that there are only 57 entries for UK-based publications, compared with thousands for those in the USA. Not ideal for a British writer who is just starting out.

This is certainly a comprehensive book and is extremely useful if you want to sell to the US market. However, it is no use for British writers wanting to sell to their home market - my fault, I should have read the reviews more carefully.

Writer's Market is a must for any beginning, established, or student writer who wants to be published.

It is a required text for my Freelance Writing students. They utilize Writer's Market's essays to improve their manuscripts, and they use its resources to research and place their work.

Last year, a student submitted her piece on Wednesday, revised it and mailed Friday, and received an acceptance Monday. Others placed theirs quickly as well.

When they follow the advice of Writer's Market, students learn marketable writing skills.

I did, they do, you can, too, when you purchase Writer's Market.
