Product Description

Product Description

A collection of over 150 recipes that take less than 45 minutes to make, from start to finish.

From the Author

This Book is Much More Than Just a Collection of Recipes.
When we set out to write The No-Time-to-Cook Cookbook, we didn't want to produce just another collection of recipes. We wanted to create recipes that take less than 45 minutes to prepare, are simple and easy to follow, and that work each and every time you make them. In addition to reducing preparation and cooking time, we wanted to reduce the time it takes to shop for ingredients. That's why virtually all recipes require no more than 5 main ingredients (ingredients other than staples). But most of all, we wanted to create recipes that are truly delicious.

This is a "user friendly" book with a number of special features. It has a hardback cover that encloses a spiral binding, allowing the book to lie flat and stay open as you work, so that you won't need a can of soup to keep the book from closing. To make the book even easier to use, every recipe is printed in large, clear, easy-to-read type. Beautiful full-color photos are found throughout the book, and whimsical drawings decorate the pages, making the book as fun to use as it is practical. A wide variety of time-saving tips and suggestions are included as well.

The recipes--all of which have been kitchen-tested--include soups; sandwiches; salads; pastas; poultry, beef, and pork entrees; seafood dishes; vegetarian fare; and veggie and grain side dishes. There's even a chapter on quick desserts. A sampling of favorite recipes include Broiled Portabella Cheeseburgers, Crisp Chicken Cutlets, Garlic and Rosemary Roasted Pork Tenderloin, and Penne from Heaven.

We're very proud of The No-Time-to-Cook Cookbook and hope you enjoy using it as much as we enjoyed writing it. We look forward to hearing your comments.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quick, low-fat, everyday recipes for working families., 10 Jun 1999
By A Customer
This cookbook is a great addition to every cook's library. It is a delightful combination of the basics and newer style cooking. All recipes have used nutritional facts, lower-fat and sodium staples. I have tried the recipes and they are quick! So, if you are interested in spending your time at home instead of in a checkout or fast food line, give this book a try!
