THE WORLD NEEDS DUESBERGS!, 28 Nov 2002
...Peter Duesberg is no amateur- a world-leading retro-virologist who pioneered major advances in medical science. He asked pertinent questions in controversial territory and broke from the mainstream in pursuit of the truth. Answers will not yield to an agenda other than truth. Science cannot make concessions to politics, and expect to advance. Duesberg is the genuine article- he valued integrity above popularity at considerable cost to his career. Science needs such people - but they are sacrificed and punished for the very qualities that make them indispensible. When they most needed Duesberg his funding was axed. Fifteen years on, a defensively hostile mainstream is failing in its fight against AIDS because free thought is heresy. "inventing the Aids Virus" is an education in AIDS , medicine, science, politics , psychology and human nature - providing unprecedented insight into this epoch-making conflict of scientific, social , political and commercial interests - a world unseen and unimagined ,by the lay-public. Brilliantly written, exhaustively researched and massively documented, compellingly readable and accessible to scientist and layman alike. I only hope it will not be too long before science can once again benefit from Duesbergs genius.

READ THIS BOOK!!!, 27 Nov 2002
The world needs more like Duesberg! Unfortunately, when they come along , they get ridiculed , censored and ostracized , because they don't say what we want to hear but more often what we need to hear. The world wants answers to its questions , but prefers those which sit comfortably with current thought. Those which do not , meet resistance in proportion to the threat which they pose and upheaval they imply , and can be a long time in surfacing. Duesbergs call for a rethink on AIDS is a textbook example. Duesberg is no amateur- a world-leading virologist who pioneered crucial advances in medical science. His perspicatity led him to raise pertinent questions in controversial territory - His courage and resolve led him to become the most feared heretic of the HIV-AIDS orthodoxy. Though rigorously censored and largely concealed from public view, the debate rages on- becoming ever more urgent with the continuing failure to understand and conquer AIDS. Answers can only yield to a truthful agenda. Science cannot afford concessions to politics. Duesberg is the genuine article. He valued integrity over popularity and pursues truth at the cost of career. Science needs all the Duesbergs it can get - but punishes the very qualities which make them indispensible. When we needed him most , his funding was axed. But the implications of his findings are catastrophic to established HIV-AIDS thinking, and for this he is despised by the millions with vested interests in its continuance. It could be a long time before science can once again benefit from Duesberg's rare genius. Everyone should read this book - it gives an unprecedented insight into the arena of this epoch-making conflict of scientific, political and commercial interests . Brilliantly written, exhaustively researched and impeccably well-documented , Duesbergs invaluable inisght and overview are made equally accessible to scientist and layman alike, and very compellingly readable. READ THIS BOOK!

Compelling argument, 30 Aug 2009
The first impression of this book is a hard hitting introduction by a chemistry Nobel laureate. The book then takes off into a series of tightly argued, well reasoned points, each one developed in detail but never to the point of repetition or boredom. Areas covered go beyond aids and into the effect of government finance and control on scientific research, the toxic influence of vested interests on new ideas, and the problems in getting at scientific truth in a corrupt world. On the central theme of aids, hiv and what should be done about it, the attack is devastating. Read this and you will never view the press, big pharma and government statements on this subject the same way again. This book is essential reading for those operating in the scientific realm, any branch of government, and any who wish to understand a little more about the world we live in and who value reason and truth above herd mentality and propaganda
