This should be the first Lustbader book for anyone wanting to 'try' this author's work. It's amazing the way Mr. lustbader is so knowledgeable about Japanese culture, & he incorporates it into most of his books, including this one. Other Japan-based books by him like "The Ninja" etc. should strictly be read by those into Japanese culture, but "Angel Eyes" is where U don't get a heavy culture dose, just high quality action fiction, which is the author's trademark. The heroine of the novel, Tori , not only faces up to her past, but also discovers her lost brother, & comes to sort out a troubled relationship with her father in the end. A great, well-written book, it can be very throughly enjoyed by even those who aren't ardent Lustbader fans.
