5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! What a brillinat book!, 7 Feb 2001

This is a must! My husband has had heartburn nearly every night for three years. The day he started food combining, it stopped! I have lost a stone in 6 weeks, but am eating loads, including crisps, chocolate + drinking lots of cider. I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone. It just makes sense AND works!

5.0 out of 5 stars 'Does exactly what it says on the tin', 20 Mar 2000
I followed the advice from day one. Gradually changing from habit to common sense; to such an extent it felt as I was spoiling myself. The feeling of well being was immediate and allergies showed signs of disappearing within a few days. And for the first time in 51 years my hay fever did not bother me, at all. I have suffered badly from the age of eleven. I'm not a crank. Engineers aren't cranks they are realists. Thoroughly recommended aloing with the Kathryn Marsden book.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you ever thought 'there must be another way', this is it!, 14 Dec 1998
By A Customer
Having been recently discharged from hospital with a diagnosis of 'severe diverticular disease of the sigmoid colon' (UUmmm, nasty!) my GP told me to eat more fibre and increase fruit intake. Not being content with just following orders I started to think seriously about what I was eating on a daily basis. A friend had a well worn copy of this book and lent it to me. Within days of starting to follow the basic principles of food combining I was feeling much better and generally more energetic all round. The book gives you an explanation as to why the food that most of us eat is not allowing the body to use its own restorative powers and then goes on to suggest how you can change that. As a by-product I have lost a stone and a quarter in the last 4 weeks (this was not actually part of my original aim) and am feeling better than ever before. The recommended food intake section is invaluable for beginners as it allows you to start eating properly without having to understand (initially) why it works.
