5.0 out of 5 stars This got me on track for colored pencil!, 7 Jan 2001
By Norrington (Wien, Österreich) - See all my reviews
Originally I was just interested in drawing pencil. If I wanted to color something, I just scanned it in and used the computer for coloring it. However, with this book I have discovered the magic of colored pencil, which is not, as commonly misconcepted, a tool for little children, but a very interesting(and realistic) way of portraying people. Unlike the title implies, you'll not only learn how to draw from references, although that IS the main focus. You also get a lot of experience and tips on shading, which makes your drawing look more realistic.
