Product Description
Synopsis
For more than 20 years, Lois Burdett has been introducing Shakespeare to primary school pupils. Working with her students, many as young as seven, she makes Shakespeare's plays come wonderfully alive for young eyes and ears. The texts are rewritten as simple rhyming verse and illustrated by her pupils' own lively colour illustrations of the characters and the action. Her books and workshops for teachers have captured the attention and imagination of parents, educators, and lovers of Shakespeare around the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good teaching resource , 9 Oct 2006

(REAL NAME)
Lois Burdett has made Shakespeare's Macbeth accessible for children. The story is written in rhyming couplets making it child friendly and very enjoyable for all age groups. Burdette has incorporated copies of her pupils work throughout the book which not only shows the deep understanding of Macbeth they had but also gives loads of ideas for class lessons.

Although this book is aimed at primary school age children, my daughter referred to it when she was struggling with her standard grade class reading of Macbeth and said that it helped greatly and made the language easier to understand.
