Skandranon the gyrphon - now bleached white from the traumas of the previous novel the black gyrphon and his human friend AmberDrake travel with their mates Zakheal and Winterhart to the land of the Heighley to negotiate a treaty to allow the continue of their fledgling community. Once arrived however all does not go well. The Heighley are a people bound in tradition and mistakens are all too easy for strangers to make, then there is the problem of a serial killer on the loose. A killer who wants the blame to fall on the visitors.
A well paced and highly enjoyable novel by a very skilled writer. The white gyrphon has just the right amounts of tension humour and personal touches.
