Great book. The first couple of chapters give a good introduction, but the history of the persons is where you get value for your monye.

The author has clearly been hard at work finding bits of facts about the persons involved in first introducing orchid growing to Europe, and later the US. All persons have been described with great respect for their lives (personal as well as professional) and leaves you with a clear image og what that person must have been like.

It can get a bit confusion tryng to imagine the relationships between all the persons. A kind of geanology tree of persons described would perhaps given a better overview.
