5.0 out of 5 stars You gotta read this book!, 9 Dec 1998

This was a vey interesring book. It had very interesting and funny characters(especially the aghar). Mary Kirchoff explained the details and scenes of the story in a very believable way. She exlpains the characters so well that I can imagine them in my head. The story had a lot of adventures and action.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well embraced story fiction, 3 Dec 1998
By A Customer
Flint the King is certainly one of the better preloud books, but it has a way of portraying a totally different story of Flint's capturing then it was in the original chronicles. The Gully dwarves that were potraid as annoying untrustful creatures that held Flint prisoner against his own will, but in this book they are actually potraid as kind, naive and honest creatures that Flint becomes extreamly attached to unlike the hated dwarves described in the chronicles by Flint. Beside that though, this is a funny book, with an awesome villian and alot of charector that explains a little bit more of everybody's favorite grumpy yet caring Hill Dwarf, Flint FireForge.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great read., 29 Jul 1998

Who would of thought a story about Flint and Gully Dwarves could be so moving? This book is very good and it captures the spirit of the first two trilogies. It has everything you can ask for in a fantasy novel, action, danger, comedy, romance (who would of thought that Flint could be romantic) and a great villian. this was by far my favorite in the Preludes series so far. It shows you another side of Flint other than the grumpy old dwarf, and it gives you a better understanding of why he was the way he was in the first trilogy. My hat goes off to Mary Kirchoff & Douglas Niles they did a fine job.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent. A must-read
Flint the King was excellent. Aghar make any book worth reading, and Pitrick could have been one of the best villains I've ever read of. Read more
