Product Description

Product Description

Successful Wrestling details 30 wrestling techniques step by step, from simple to complex. This coaching tool is organized by skill progressions rather than by types of skills. Coaches will no longer have to sort through pages of clinic notes trying to decide which techniques to teach when and to whom. Now they can simply follow the programme of one of the most successful wrestling coaches in the country. Art Keith is famous for turning wrestlers into champions. In "Successful Wrestling", he presents the best in basic body positions, moves, and teaching tips. He makes it easy to teach different levels of athletes and to link one level of technique to the next.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have !, 16 April 2007
This book from Art Keith is one of the best books on wrestling out there.
It covers all the basics in a logic order. Of course it doesn't contain
all the moves and variations that exist but sure this was not intended with the book. If you look for an encyclopedia you will find it in the book "winning wrestling moves", but in this title hardly any movement sequences are shown.
In "successful wrestling" you can see the movements with more detail.
And to be successful in competition you don't need to know all the moves in existance.
If you can perform high percentage moves with perfection surely this is more helpful. So this book will help you to develop a strong game.
Together with the title "Greco-Roman" wrestling higly recommended!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars This book is a quick way to learn bad technique, 24 Feb 1999
By A Customer
This book trys to explain the basics of wrestling, and how to coach the sport. It skips over many of the basics of the sport. Wrestling is a very complex and difficult sport, and although you must start somewhere, the book fails to recognize this aspect. This book also doesnt flow correctly and is out of order. Overall I would rate this book a one star, becuase it is too simple and most things are obvious even to a beginer.
