4.0 out of 5 stars A useful intro to scoring for pictures, 10 Nov 2002
This is a very good introduction, and covers matters such as "spotting" and using appropriate styles, writing to cues or hit points, what it's like in reality to work on movies and TV commissions, setting up a computer-based system, working with live musicians and so on. The focus seems to be on relatively large budget stuff, though he also covers his experience with "art house" projects. Since reading this I've started writing for TV libraries, and it's definitely been useful.
