Most Helpful Customer Reviews   4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: A good basic guide to the Akita, 12 April 1999 By A Customer This is a good basic guide to the breed incorporating help and advice on how to train and care for any breed. The book gives: a brief resume of how the Akita was introduced to the world outside of Japan; brief characteristics of the breed; how to care for your new pup and tips for training (both fairly generic to all breeds). There are plenty of colour photos giving examples of the different colourings.
