4.0 out of 5 stars A good basic guide to the Akita, 12 April 1999
By A Customer
This is a good basic guide to the breed incorporating help and advice on how to train and care for any breed. The book gives: a brief resume of how the Akita was introduced to the world outside of Japan; brief characteristics of the breed; how to care for your new pup and tips for training (both fairly generic to all breeds). There are plenty of colour photos giving examples of the different colourings. This is a good introduction which has given me a thirst to find out more about this fascinating breed.
