Product Description

From the Author

'We can spend up to 80 per cent of our lives inside buildings, yet few people realise that our indoor environment can be up to ten times more polluted than outdoors. Unknowingly, we may spend the majority of our time surrounded by a complex mixture of toxic emissions from all types of chemical products that we use in our homes and work places, including synthetic paints. ' --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! Can't wait to get the mixing bowl out!, 20 Feb 2005

I have just received this book from Amazon France. It is simply great. The book is easy to follow and the recipes are clear and concise. Visually the book is very appealing and now that I have this wonderful book in my possession, I doubt if I will ever have to spend money on chemically produced paints ever again. This book is a MUST HAVE for anyone interested in paint and decoration, professional or amateur. I would give it six stars!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Who'd Have Thought It?, 4 Aug 2003

The idea that you could make fantastic paint out of household ingredients had never occurred to me until I came across this book. Environmentally and economically friendly decorating is no less of a joy than eating organic food or using organic cosmetics. This book is an impressive guide to how you can make your own paint in your preferred colours, and then how to use it in novel ways. If you're a fan of the environment, or even if you're just not a fan of paint fumes, this is definitely a book you should be buying.
