this book recently came in very handy. 1 of the 5 month old puppies was playing with his dad and daddy got a little to rough-the puppy got a renched neck-I didn't know how much apirin I was supposed to give him for the pain-but I rmembered I had this book so I looked under Apirin-then pain and it said 1/4 325miliigrams per 10lbs of body weight-since the puppy weighs about 45lbs I gave him a whole aspirin and after about 30min he was playing again like nothing was wrong.

I have three dogs and each is different, this book has given me lots of helpful hints. It gives you enough information to know when it's time to see a vet, or if you can handle a situation on your own. But never leads you to believe it takes the place of your vet. Loads of information for a dog or cat owner. I am very pleased with my choice.

WHILE THIS VOLUME TOUCHES UPON SOME VERY HELPFUL REMEDIAL TREATMENT, IT SERVED AS A KIND OF "TEASER" FOR THE READER WHO REQUIRES SOME MORE DEPTH AND COMPREHENSIVENESS. IT MAKES YOU WANT TO LOOK FOR MORE ELSEWHERE.
