Product Description

One of the best selling price guides for collectible ceramics is now completely revised, updated and expanded to more than 4,000 listings. This popular book includes some 50 categories of American and foreign pottery and porcelain, covering the full gamut of wares from the 18th through the mid-20th centuries. Several new categories are added and many others expanded for a total of more than 150 separate categories. The wide-ranging diversity of collectible ceramics makes this one of the most popular areas of collecting and this handy guide serves the needs of collectors, dealers and appraisers. Prices are given in US dollars.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed, 4 Jun 2001
By A Customer
I bought this book as an amateur wanting to know more about pottery and porcelain and the price guide. This book is pretty useless for amateurs. It only gave the tiniest bit of information about each piece and a lot of that was abbreiviated. It was also badly laid out...

4.0 out of 5 stars A good choice for starters, 29 May 2001
By A Customer
This a very interesting book, covering a wide range of American and European porcelain marks and manufacturers, from France to Austria and Hungary. The book has many information for youngsters starting-out, such as pictures (including a full colour section), a glossary of terms, and even an apendix on how to read English registry marks of the 19th century. It also has more detailed information for professional matters. Overall, a great book to add to your library.
