Product Description

Product Description

A manual of hockey drills for puck control, which offers ideas and suggestions to refine and challenge even the most experienced player, and describes ways in which to perform 70 drills at a faster pace and using less space.

From the Author

A book germane to one aspect of play!
This book was my first attempt to move away from many traditional hockey drill offerings which attempt to be "all things to all people". Hockey is a complex game, and so the genisis of this book was the concept of providing drills and teaching ideas within a specific part of the game. Subsequent to this book I have been involved in several other projects (a shamelss plug!) that I hope will help you in much the same manner. I've enjoyed receiving comments from fellow coaches around the world about this book, and it has motivated me to keep writing. Thanks for picking it up, and as always, "keep your stick on the ice".

5.0 out of 5 stars PACKED WITH IDEAS, AN EXCELLENT COACHING AID, 7 Mar 2002
By A Customer
Being in the same series as Hockey Drills for passing and receiving this book has the same excellent layout. The book contains drills with progressive variations. Each drill is well illustrated and explained, having infomation on the drill purpose, any equipment needed, recomended duration, drill procedure, key points and drill progressions. The book has a table of the drills which helps you to select drills based on the type of skills it aims to improve. An excellent book for ideas and session planning.
