1.0 out of 5 stars Advice coming from the negative viewpoint, 19 Aug 1999
By A Customer
The entire feel of the book is that the seperated/divorced men are rats and the single women are victims. There may be a word or two that could be useful to some, but the majority of the text leans towards disposing of the relationship, whatever the case may be. What comes accross from the co-author can be summed up with the following: end the relationship, amend the relationship or continue the relationship. Anyone who can choose an ice cream flavor can figure that out all by herself. Save your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Where would I be if I wouldn't have read this book !, 7 Sep 2001
By A Customer
I am one of those women who chose to believe in a relationship with a not-yet divorced man. I learned by this book that I had to live my life and see if he wanted to follow me instead of drawning in the complete turnmoil his life still is... It's THE book to be read when you think that love will conquer all and will make a happy ending of this "high risk" story. You learn that is has more to do with emotional intelligence than with feelings. It took me a while to understand, I was about to burn that relationship in the biggest fire-place. I still don't know where it will lead ( I sincerely hope he'll be the one ) But at least I know that thanks to this book I am doing the best I can and that I won't fall in the same earthquake his world is right now in case it doesn't work. Thanks Robyn, Thanks Lesley... I know now I needed that book to preserve myself of feeling one day the way he feels now.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very hands-on book - I pencil-marked particular sections!, 30 Jul 1999
By A Customer
I thought that the book was very well written with a humorous up-beat tone. I especially appreciated the summaries of each section and continual reminders at the end of each chapter about my 3 options! I have re-read it already several times! It is a helpful book for working through any relationship. I would have liked some cases where the woman is divorcing/divorced herself and has children, too. The focus seemed to be on the never-married, single woman with no children, who were jet-setters. Those stories were harder for me to relate to because I am recently divorced with sole custody of 3 children.

Thanks for the tips on keeping sane!
