Having started back on an exercise plan, I decided to look at my eating habits. Not being a trained nutritionist its not easy to assess which foods are proteins, carbohydrates etc and how much you should be taking. This book has helped me greatly in recording the quantities and types of food I'd eaten and its helping me feel great to record my daily intake and see that I have been gently reducing my calories/fat as I go along. The only drawback with the book is that many foods were not listed (i.e. Indian takeaway etc) as it is a US edition. I've yet to do a monthly assessment on how I've done but I think focussing on my food intake and recording it also has encouraged me to do well. The book contains helpful hints for motivating you about your diet and exercise and helping you feel good about yourself. I recommend it for those who need a little help and lots of encouragement!
