This book has just about the right level of detail. Its purpose is to highlight the sights and attractions of South Australia, with suggestions on what to see, where to stay (including prices), where to eat. One thing it does lack though is photos. There are some glossy montage photos on about 8 pages, but these are very few and very far between, and no substitute for what's really needed, i.e. more photos next to the text that describes them.

There are numerous maps to help you find your way round. At the front of the book there's plenty of background for the state, it's history, culture, flora and fauna.

If you're going to spend more than 2 weeks in SA, get this book.
