5.0 out of 5 stars must buy for Central Europe, 26 April 2001
If your going to travel to Central Europe, then this is an absolute must. To make it worth while though, your going have to be travelling to a least a couple of the coutries featured (otherwise you might as well buy a specific book). Content for the major cities is great despite its broad coverage of countries- I used it for Prague, Budapest and Berlin and it gave plenty to do and see. Also, I can't fault the accomadition section; when we ended up with nowhere to stay we found a great place just using a phone number from the book!

I will say though, if you are going to be spending a lot of time in one country, specifically periphery regions then you might need something a bit deeper, as depth is lacking away from the main sites/cities (but then it does cover a lot).

4.0 out of 5 stars Buy this book and you want regret it, 12 Dec 2001
At the beginning of this October I went on backpacking trip around Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic. I've decided to buy this guide as all of the countries ( and more ) I planned to visit were in it. It doesn't take too much space and it guides you very well through all the chapters. The only negative thing I can think about is that there are not enough prices of trains and buses shown as this is the most important thing when planning. But excellent guide book.

4.0 out of 5 stars LP Central Europe book review, 27 Jan 2004
I used this guide to go round 4 european cities last summer. I found the background information very useful as well as where the places of interest were. The information was generally up to date except one of the Turkish baths had changed their male/female days around so i turned up on the wrong day. Apart from that, an excellent thorough guide and well worth it!
