2.0 out of 5 stars Phoenetics Spoil this otherwise comprehensive phrase book, 27 Oct 2002

A quite comprehensive book which is difficult to use because it goes way too far with the phoenetics. I spent more time practising the phoenetics over and over than I did using it as an entry point to conversing with the locals. If One is not shy, and not afraid of making mistakes, then the best way to get on is to have the basics available and try them out.
