5.0 out of 5 stars Recipes that really do work, 10 Mar 2002
By A Customer
No more sad sunken cakes. No more hard crusted muffins. Every single recipe in this book (if you follow it to the letter) does create the most scrumptous muffins, scones and cakes.

I was a novice cook previous to purchasing this book, never being confident at baking a decent cake. Now a transformation has taken place. I am now known for my cakes - although my cakes are only those from this recipe book!

The best recipe I think is the carrot cake. Cooking carrot cakes well, so they retain a moistness, is extremely difficult. This recipe is rich, fruity and has an gateau feel to it, whilst being very healthy and not too fattening.

A fabulous book!
