An excellent book - full of beautiful photographs that make it a pleasure just to flick through. You don't have to be a photographer to want this one- it's a marvellous travelogue as well. But if you are an amateur photographer, you should benefit hugely from this book. It's clearly written, easy to follow, and comprehensive. Try it - and at this price it's worth it for the pictures alone!

This is a beautifully illustrated and well written book, a book which has inspired me greatly. It shows just how much can be accomplished in landscape photography with the basic tools. The knowledge expressed in it's pages will be helpfull to photographers of varied experience.

Landscape photography sounds easy -- just point the camera at a nice view and click the shutter! Nothing could be further from the truth as this book points out. The author details the difference between a "nice picture" and a good quality photograph and gives you the confidence to go out and try this for yourself.

In summary, if you want to take photos that aren't portraits, weddings or still-lifes then this should be considered essential reading.
