5.0 out of 5 stars Each Page is funnier than the Last, 24 Nov 2003
By Moniker "fantasyfreak" (Takoma Park, MD United States) - See all my reviews
This book is set in the country side of Ireland, revolving around teh teeenage Benny and his side kick Babe. However, unlick most stories, the girl, Babe seems to have all the brains in the pair.

The story starts when BEnny and Babe start a bait selling business, which quickly involves other Irish locals. This leds to many adventures, such as scuba diving in a creek, dodgin dead cats, acting in vampire plays and throwing toys out windows. In the end, Benny has choose between his best friend or money.

The story isn't just about the two adventurous teenagers, it is also about them growing up and dealing with teenage problems (i.e. having dead cats thrown at them and have to kiss in a play).

Not only is the plot well written and the characters developed and are believable, but it is also the funniest book I have ever read. Jokes are on every page referrring to songs and events to more modern ones. This makes it enjoyable for people of all ages. A great read!
