4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting and Informative but not that easy on the eye., 7 Mar 2001
By A Customer
The Sussex and Surrey Official Tourist Map is ideal for visitors or locals who wish to travel around the area looking for places of interest and who have the time to actually study the map.

A criticism would be the colour schemes used. For places of interest and the logo to denote what that places are, are both in red and do not stand out all that well. 'A' roads are brown, 'B' roads are a thinner brown with yellow down the middle, other minor roads are an even thinner brown with white down the middle and railway lines are brown. Suffice to say there isn't quite the contrast that would perhaps make initial reading of the map a bit easier.

It does however list approximately 450 places of interest and has over 80 symbols denoting the different places.

In spite of concerns over the lack of contrast in the colours used, it is very good value.
