4.0 out of 5 stars The Pendle Witches - A Modern View, 8 Feb 2008
A study of the famous Pendle witches case of 1612, written in the late 1960s - just before feminist and other sociological perspectives on the witch-hunts bloomed. Author Edgar Peel employs a sceptical but thorough view on this emotive slice of history.
