Product Description

Product Description

Two million women in the UK are thought to suffer from endometriosis. This is a condition in which the tissue lining of the uterus grows in other parts of the body, causing a variety of problems including painful periods and infertility. This book, which is endorsed by the Endometriosis Society, provides a basic, jargon-free guide to the causes, symptoms and treatments. It will help sufferers to analyze and understand their symptoms, talk to their doctors and make informed decisions about the best treatment for them. It includes case studies.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, easily understood endo book, 17 Jul 2001
By A Customer
Jo Mears book on endo is up to date, and provides information on drug treatments, surgery, and touches on alternatives. She provides all this info in an easily digested format without overwhelming us with jargon. This is an excellent resource for newly-diagnosed sufferers or for those who need to know more about the disease.

This is a fantastic book for those who have recently beed diagnosed with Endometriosis (and also those who haven't).

A real eye opening book, which makes the reader aware that they are not alone.

A very 'Close to Home' read which I found the most interesting book I have ever read!

5.0 out of 5 stars At last - Endometriosis explained in plain english., 22 Nov 2002
By A Customer
Incredibly easy to read and understand. Information is very useful (in plain english for people who just want to know the facts and details for those who want to know more!).

Pinpoints the symptoms, and discusses treatment options well, with accurate statistics.

Above all, this is a very constructive and helpful book. If read and followed, this book talks you through the symptoms and ways to deal with them.

Highly recommended.
