3.0 out of 5 stars an honest opinion from a devoted fan., 6 Jul 2001
By A Customer
I would reccommend that only people interested in the actors career, past and present should read this, as i found there wasn't really much about him as a person. The book tells of his preparations for each movie and some personal arguments, but not many feelings and emotions. Although a biography i felt that Nicolas Cage had little input which was what i personnally was hoping for. If you are willing to perservere with the book it does turn out to be an interesting read. The chapters are kept short so easy to read, also they are broken down into what i feel like are sections of his career you could start from any chapter and be able to understand the rest of the book. There are interesting bits where you feel like you are being talked to by the actor himself for example when he refers to his son Weston but are then suddenly cut off back to hard hitting facts of the next film he was working on. I would say to read the book only if you have the spare time or the appreciation of a very talented actor and his passion for his work. Although the book turned out to be the opposite to what i really wanted it to be and despite what i've written, me personnally i would read it again but i'm fascinated by Nicolas Cage are you?
