4.0 out of 5 stars This book is very detailed and concise., 24 Jun 2001
By A Customer
At first sight this book appeared to be very casual, however this was not so. It is very detailed - I particularly like the way it chronicles all of his releases, making specific years easy to find.

I also particularly liked the 'Pot-Pourri' section; a small section on the back page detailing common misconceptions and 'bloopers' (eg 'Did David Bowie work with (insert name here) on an album, or was it just a myth?) and separating the fact from fiction.

Apart from chronogically cataloging Bowie's work over the years, there are also sections detailing all his tour dates, singles and album releases. I therefore found the book to be most informative; the lack of colour pictures was made up for by the multitude of facts!

Overall, the book was almost a blow-by-blow account of Bowie's past years, and contained interesting trivia and photographs to further entertain.

Therefore, I think it deserves 4 stars - it's little wonder that this review is longer than an eight-line poem!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best since Black Book, 23 Jul 1997
By A Customer
This is the best book on db that I have seen since Black Book. The photos and text are excellent. The snippets of info describing the photos are great and very informative. You feel you know him a bit better after reading this book
