5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended, 10 Jan 2001
By A Customer
This book is simple and warm. It offers kind words to survivors and the people who are trying to support them.

I am not a survivor, but the girlfriend of someone who lost his mother. I found myself struggling to know what to say and do, but desperately wanting to be supportive. Sheila Clarke's book provided me with clues about what to expect and how to react. By explaining some of the emotions and the patterns of reaction, it provides invaluable reassurance.

For those searching a dense psychological text, this book is not the book you think you are looking for. That's what I thought. However, 'After Suicide' was an impulse buy which I found more helpful than the 'deep' psychological text I read.
