with out question the best book yet written on salmon fishing to date, covers everthing you need to know in great detail includes the fishes lifestyle, taking behavior, running and taking times, water sense, and mutch mutch more if you have not read this book and are intrested in salmon fishing you must read this book it really is that good!!!

This book covers everything the would be salmon fisherman could possibly wish to know. Falkus covers salmon behaviour, tackle , casting, fly fishing , spinning and worming techniques and tatics in a style which is easy to read and informtive. The anecdotes combined with documented historical quotations provide both interest and an understanding of how knowledge of the salmon and it's behaviour have improved over the years. Hugh Falkus had his own stretch of salmon river which gave him a unique opportunity to study salmon behaviour especially taking behaviour. This book is a good read and a vital reference book for all would be salmon fishermen.

Everything an angler needs to know about Scottish Salmon, written by an author who was way ahead of his time. A masterpiece.
