Presenting not only the basics of water treatment, but also the theoretical support necessary for the student and specialist, this third edition discusses the main water quality parameters that drive the need for water treatment and includes extensive data on water quality standards. Examples of worked calculations, a glossary and a comparison of EU, USA and WHO water quality standards are included in the appendices.
