Product Description
Synopsis
After a death, certain arrangements have to be completed - this guide supports readers through the process. It explains the necessary forms, the function of the people the bereaved may encounter (such as hospital staff, registrar, coroner, minister and funeral director) and the likely costs. Whether burial or cremation is selected, the book shows how to choose from the options avaliable and meet the wishes of the deceased at what can be a difficult time. It explains how to arrange a funeral without a funeral director, and outlines humanist and non-Christian burials.

5.0 out of 5 stars A vital book in distressing circumstances, 17 Oct 2000
By A Customer
This is a book that you won't want to read until these circumstances affect you - but when a friend or relative dies, you need something to help you through the maze of procedures that need to be gone through. This book is it. It provides simple information and advice during a difficult period. I found it invaluable. See also Wills and Probate in the same series.

I have loaned this book to several bereaved people and they have all said this is the best possible book to have on hand after someone dies. If you ever need such a thing you will read it again and again. A really useful publication.
