Product Description

This question-and-answer handbook shows you where you stand on a multitude of common problems of consumer law, and how to deal with them, without resorting to costly legal services . If your tour operator goes bust while you're on holiday, your application for credit has been turned down, if you regret signing that timeshare contract or you're been bitten by the neighbour's dog, you want to know what to do right away, and preferably without the expense of hiring a lawyer. This book tells you what to do. It covers: eating out; holidays, travel and transport; finance and credit; neighbours; public utilities; buying on the Internet; personal data, injuries and complaints about medical treatment and much more. It explains how to whom to make an effective claim and how to use mediation and arbitration schemes. The book provides you with the ammunition to fight your own consumer battles and use the law to your advantage.

I use this all the time. It covers so much ground and it easy to follow. It's the best book on consumer law I've come across and I like the informal style.
