Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

Whether you look for beautiful countryside, welcoming pubs, a place of historical interest or a short city break full of culture and shopping, The Which? Guide to Weekend Breaks in Britain will tell you where to find it.

Organised by region, each entry has advice on where to stay, where to eat and the top sights, as well as details on historical, industrial and natural spots to while away your days. Where appropriate, small maps are included to give guidance on touring by car, and fully detailed entries including prices, telephone numbers and opening times mean you won't have to consult another book. With black-and- white illustrations and no photographs, this is not a book for somebody wanting a pictorial memento of their weekends away. However, it is a great one-stop reference guide for anyone wanting to plan ahead and beat the crowds on the doorstep of the B&B. --Lucie Naylor

4.0 out of 5 stars Great reference for a weekend break, 10 Sep 2001
By A Customer
This is an excellent guide, covering all the details needed to have an excellent break. This one book is enough for planning out a wonderful weekend. It would have been better, if pictures of key interests were printed. I would defenitely recommend this.
