4.0 out of 5 stars Just as the book says '' Learn As You Play''., 1 April 2001
I used this tutor for the last ten years. It gives easily read instructions and at an early stage allows pupils to play duets with their teacher, this builds confidence between the pupil and the teacher. Several pieces are selected for Associated Grade Work. When this book has been completed successfully,the standard of the pupil would be Grade 3. I have no hesitation in recommending this Clarinet Tutor along with the other in the same category e.g. Saxophone and Flute. C.Campbell (Hampshire Music- Retired)

4.0 out of 5 stars Good progressive book to start learning from., 3 Feb 2001
This book will take you from the very basic begining right through to pieces equivilant to Grade 3. It takes you through each stage gently and is easy to understand.

Many of the concert pieces can be used as exam pieces in the Associated Board exams.

The only critisism is that you have to purchse the piano accompaniment book seperately adding to the cost.

Generally it is an ideal book for student to start with, however to give the student wider experience I suggest it is to be used in conjunction with other books.
