Product Description

From the Author

This book brings training into a new dimension
As an international rider and trainer I have always been of the opinion that variety is the key word when working horses, I believe in cooperation not domination. The object of my book is to draw you into a whole new world of training, breaking down the language barrier and building your own communication lines.

The title New Sensations for the Horse and Rider (introducing Voice Training) says it all. I take you through the process of getting started in various new disciplines. Featuring throughout my book is something that has tended to be ignored and it is 'The Voice'. I hope my book will appeal to all ages, I want you to pick it up and say "that looks fun I will try it".

Not only do I explain in detail how to get started in the new disciplines but I use a variety of horses from Iberian, German even Miniature horses. The great thing is that anyone what ever size or age, the same goes for their horse will find a New Sensation to try. Don't worry if you don't own a horse, you can read what to do so you know how to get started, then you are pointed in the right direction with some addresses.

I have written the book in a non technical language, covering Voice Training and Liberty Work, Long Reining, Lunging, Western Riding and Driving. It is well illustrated with about 100 colour photographs and line drawings.

I hope you enjoy it! My website: tanyashorses.com is currently being updated

By A Customer
I read this book a while ago and have also watched Tanya at a demonstration. The book made me realise that I had been communicating verbally with my horse giving conflicting signals. Tanya proves that horses can learn a wide variety of words if they are taught efficiently by US, i.e. that we are consistent, not using different words for the same action/feeling. I have now incorporated this into the training of my horse alongside a few other training methods and am very pleased with the results. I feel that we have a more effective way of communication. Tanya's own horses are testament that this method works. It certainly adds a lot to our free schooling and general handling!...
