About the Author

Sarah Pilliner is an equine consultant specialising in nutrition and fitness. She has a BSc (Hons) in Animal Production Science, an MSc in Equine Studies and BHSII and BHS Stable Manager's qualifications. The author has written numerous books on her specialist subjects and competes regularly on her two event horses.

Care of the older horse is a basic but useful guide for new owners of older horses. Anyone who has owned an older horse for some time is unlikely to find anything new in the book. The book is relevant to all new horse owners, but more experienced owners will find the book very basic.
